Hallo Bay Bear Viewing Tour in Katmai National Park with a Remote Lake Landing in Lake Clark National Park!
Great for anyone who loves wildlife and wants an unforgettable safari-like experience. Our Hallo Bay Katmai bear viewing tours include up to 4 miles of walking in provided hip-waders, with your pilot in a small group. You will explore some amazing country and witness brown bears in their natural habitats: grazing on sedge grass in meadows, digging for clams on the beach, and mating in the meadows. You will have great opportunities for photos, whether you are a professional photographer or an amateur.
Before or after our Hallo Bay bear viewing adventure, we land at Lake Clark National Park on a remote lake and explore the surrounding area giving you an opportunity to touchdown in both national parks in one day.
-
- Dress warmly and bring rain gear (including jacket and pants). Do not expect the weather to be the same where we go as it is in Homer. Layers are great. So are hats and gloves.
- Hip waders will be provided.
- Bring lunch and water.
- Bring your camera!
- Binoculars are recommended, as is bug repellent.
- Do not bring pepper spray or firearms, or bear bells.
-
The pilot will be your guide for the duration of the trip. All guests will receive a safety briefing upon arrival in the area.
-
Guests are required to walk up to 4 miles in provided hip waders. The terrain can be muddy, soft, and may include creek crossings with thigh-high water. Guests should be physically capable of participating in these activities.
-
For guests looking to explore both Katmai and Lake Clark National Park, please review the details of our Hallo Bay Combo Tour.
-
We fly rain or shine, so remember your rain gear. Weather is always a factor, but rain won’t necessarily keep us from flying.
-
We will always try to delay before we cancel. In the case of a cancellation made by our pilots on the day of the flight, we will explore rescheduling opportunities with regard to your schedule and ours. If we can’t reschedule, then we will offer a full refund. All weather decisions are made by the pilot at the time of the flight.
